Hi, I’m Jenny and welcome to And She’s Off, it’s so lovely to have you here.
Originally from Liverpool, in the north west of the UK, I now call a sleepy village in West Lancashire home; which I share with my partner, affectionately known as The Great Dane thanks to his viking heritage, and our three mischievous cats.
Since leaving home for university, I’ve lived in Sheffield, Luton, Dubai and Madrid. I’ve been fortunate to visit some pretty cool places, including New York, Barbados, Singapore and New Zealand. With friends and family spread throughout the country, I’ve seen a fair bit of the UK, too.
I’ve written for TUI, Veganuary and reviewed weekend breaks and off-road routes in the UAE – plus I’ve also appeared in The Guardian twice (but both of those were to do with baked goods).
And She’s Off
The aim of the the blog is to inspire you to rediscover micro-adventures – travel doesn’t always need to be far flung or for a minimum two nights. So you’ll find lots of days out, for romantic dates, catch-ups with friends, family bonding, or some time on your own. I’ve developed 2FOR20, which is a concept of a day out for two people for £20. Read my post about days out on a budget for more information.
That’s not to say I don’t love a weekend away or a week-long break, so they might make an appearance too. I’m a big reader, and a wannabe veg grower, so there might be the odd post on other bits and bobs.
